Nusa Lembongan. A true piece of paradise on Earth. So close from Bali and yet so different! Differences that the legend itself announced the one as the Island of Gods, the other a mark of demons.

After half an hour boat trip from Sanur beach, you will soon find yourself jumping into the light blue water of Jungut Batu beach. Local people will easily propose you to rent a scooter for your time on Nusa Lembongan, the perfect way to visit the island in depth. Here, congested roads left the place to small sand roads where you will definitely feel alone but so privileged in this beautiful World.

With Hindus origins, the island is full of small temples and animists artifacts near centenary trees.

Deserted in the week from most of its population who left to work hard in Bali, Nusa Lembongan women take care of the warungs alongside the beach. Husbands, fisherman’s, leave the house early in the morning. As from midday though, they won’t forget to come back to take you on their boats for the most exiting snorkelling trips around the island. Eyes wide open, you will enjoy the multitude of fish colors, corals and manta rays.  At the end when the tide is high, they will make you visit the mangrove forest, where those trees with immersed roots look like infinite tentacles.

Mangrove BeachFortunately, with a less developed tourism, Nusa Lembongan is a very quiet piece of Earth in the Pacific. However, its only euphoria takes place every day after the twelve strokes of noon, when the low tide uncovers hundreds of algae fields… Those algae, once harvested and dried on the ground liberating a very specific smell, will be sold to Hong-Kong or Japan for the cosmetic industry.

In Nusa Lembongan, you will be Robinson Crusoe, Jack Sparrow or even Tom Hanks in Cast Away… Your very relaxing times on white sand beaches will revive you.

Marine exploration will dazzle you. On top of that, enjoy the most beautiful sunsets on Bali and its majestic Agung Volcano before a romantic dinner with candles on the beach…
