Introducing Black Sand Brewery – more than just a local watering hole, it’s self-described as a ‘community of like-minded beer enthusiasts, the occasional foodie and lovers of Bali’. A.K.A. our go-to recommendation for a beer garden-style hangout with incredible tunes and a well-rounded menu to match.
Where is it?
Found in the hipster neighbourhood of Canggu, on the main drag of Jalan Batu Bolong; Black Sand Brewery is a stone throw from the action, and that’s part of its appeal. Found outside the hustle and bustle of digital nomads, expats and surfer crowd, this gem offers rice field views, open-plan design and the perfect post-beach hangout.

A Bit About Their Story
Just like everyone traversing through Bali, Black Sand Brewery and it’s founder have their own story of how they came to base themselves in Canggu. Three talented lads; Mattia Di Bitonto, Angelo Tellini and Mattia Taschera each bring their own unique skillset to form the engine that is Black Sand Brewery. From a passion for surfing, cooking and brewing world-class beer – these mates have turned their lightbulb moment into reality by opening Bali’s best hangout to enjoy, good times, good food and really good beer!
What’s on the Menu?
If you really want to taste the flavour of Black Sand Brewery’s food, their Apertivo Sunday’s from 5pm – 7pm is where it’s at! A food over the bar concept with two hours of free-flowing tasty shared bites topped off with some of Bali’s best brewed beer and 50K wine.
